Introducing Makeup Tip Monday! Getting Foundation to Work On Dry Skin

I am trying out a new concept...Makeup Tip Mondays! Every Monday I will be sharing a tip with you that I have personally tried and tested.

Today's tip is all about getting a smooth skin look when using a foundation that emphasizes dry skin. Perhaps you have the perfect foundation in the spring and summer, but come winter it starts to bring out the dryness and look a bit flaky. Or maybe you bought a formula that is meant for oily skin and you have dry skin. What do you so?

Use a makeup primer with silicon. The silicon helps create a smooth barrier on top of the skin, which prevents the look of dryness, and creates a silky, even base for foundation. My personal pick? The original Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
