Mystery is a great alternative to using Carbon if you are looking for a shade that is less harsh but still gives the impact of a dark shade. It complements everything from neutral looks to colored looks, for smoky eyes to contoured eyes....it is a very multifunctional shadow!
Here I used a few random pigments and shadow colors, and used Mystery in the crease:
Mystery is quickly becoming a go-to crease shade and if I had a February Favorites, this shadow would top the list. Speaking of, do you want me to start doing monthly favorites?
I love your blog and would love to see you do a montly favorites post!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!:D

wow...i wish i had picked this up instead of carbon, which i have be really careful with because the pigmentation is very intense
ReplyDeleteOh I always thought smut was warm toned! I must check mystery out :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to read your monthly favorites! This shade is beautiful. It looks like it is a little less intense/harsh then Smut. I have been using smut to darken my crease but Mystery looks like a great alternative.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the comments and feedback! I will start dong a monthly favorites starting with February! =)
ReplyDeleteI believe Mystery is similar to Brun as well, but can't really say since I don't own any of these...
ReplyDeleteGoes to show that MAC makes the same basic thing in 4 slightly different ways, huh? Yet many of us get sucked into it!!!
