Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

I recently tried out the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and so far so good! It is a liquid, orange colored serum that is supposed to brighten skin and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I like that it is loaded with tons of antioxidants and natural ingredients like Vitamins C, E and Grapefruit Extract, so you know that you aren't putting a whole lotta crap on your face. The smell is a wonderful citrusy fragrance that does fade once the product is absorbed. The only negative is that it is slightly sticky, but the product absorbs quickly and so does the stickiness, so it really isn't that big of a deal. I have only used this for about 10 days or so, and I do see a bit of brightness in my skin. I am not so sure about the anti-aging effects, but it has rave reviews on Sephora, and I tend to trust Sephora reviews. I have been using this at night before I use moisturizer, but you can use this either day or night. The price is a bit hefty at $48 for 1oz, but I do find that a little goes a LONG way since this product is a liquid. With gel consistency serums, I end up using more because they don't spread out very well on the skin. Have any of you tried this? What anti-aging products do you recommend?

  1. I have actually never heard of this product..but may have a look next time I go to Sephora (sephora is my crack!)..Right now for Anti Aging, I'm using some Loreal definity stuff..it diffuses light, so not sure if it's just smoke and mirrors and nothing else. I have also used a night serum from Estee Lauder which is pretty good..Always on the hunt..

  2. I have never heard of this product, but I'm sure it's great since it's available at Sephora and got good reviews. I have used the Lancome Cell Defense serum which works well for my skin but is a little pricey. I also tried the Protect & Perfect serum by Boots thinking it would be a great way to save money. Unfortunately it didn't work out for me. I ended breaking out pretty badly.

  3. Rani-

I totally hear ya on the Sephora addiction, the more time I spend in there the more I want! Next time you go ask for a sample of this...they are always wiling to give samples. =)

I am with ya on the Cell Defense. I love that product too but I feel like I have to use a couple pumps worth to cover my entire face. This product is more expensive but I definitely use less of it.
